FAQ

What is a “Free Ride”?

This means we do not charge for rides*. Stumpy’s drivers work for tips only.
(*Except for tours and private events)

How much should I tip the driver?

$5 suggested per person.

Do your drivers accept credit cards?

No, but we do accept Venmo as well as cash.

How do I request a ride?

Call during shuttle hours (currently 11:00 am to 10:00 pm) 941-822-1444 and select option #1.

Do you offer rides to areas outside your regular service area (non-local)?

We only offer rides to Manasota Key, from Stump Pass State Park to Blind Pass Beach in Englewood and over the bridge to McDonalds.

Do you offer food and grocery delivery?

While we do not offer grocery delivery, we do deliver food from participating restaurants. Lock ‘N Key Restaurant and SandBar Tiki & Grille deliver with us. Learn more about our food delivery service here.

What types of vehicles do you have?

Our fleet is comprised of luxury golf cart (electric shuttles). These golf cart limos have a small footprint and are designed to operate alongside foot traffic, increasing guest safety along the beach. Electric vehicles are eco-friendly, decreasing environmental and noise pollution.

How many passengers can ride in your vehicles?

Each shuttle can seat from 6-8 passengers, depending on the vehicle.

How far in advance can I make a reservation?

Reservations aren’t necessary. Call us at 941-822-1444 and select option #1 when you are ready. You only need to book in advance for a tour or a private event.

Do you book your shuttles for private events?

Absolutely! Check out our private events page for more information.

Can I bring my (young) children?

Young children are welcome to ride with their parents. Seatbelts are provided on all carts for safety. Some carts have rear-facing seats. All passengers must follow state mandated driver safety precautions (e.g. wearing seat belt).

Can I bring my pets?

We are pet friendly – feel free to bring your pets! Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome on the carts.

Please Note: Drivers have the right to refuse a ride for any reason.
